Historically, the DR Congo has been burdened by a history of conflict and political tension that has shaken the foundations of the country.  Feeling the ripples of the geopolitical landscape, smallholder coffee farmers have found great potential in improving their livelihoods and security with better coffee production and the understanding of their very favourable climate conditions.

Originating from South Kivu in the Congo, this coffee is grown and processed in the Katana processing station by a group of smallholder coffee farmers. The processing station has opened crucial doors, helping farmers to improve their agricultural practices and implement sustainable methods in coffee production.  The result is a superior coffee that has changed the face of coffee growing in the dynamic Eastern Congo, welcoming enormous potential in the coming years.
