Deep in Brazil’s renowned Mogiana region, Vale de Grama straddles the border between São Paulo and Minas Gerais—an area celebrated for its ideal climate and altitude for specialty coffee. This valley, once owned by a Brazilian matriarch, Dona Mathilde, in the 19th century, has since evolved into a collection of six farms, home to both established estates and small-scale producers. Here, quality and yield are masterfully balanced, making it a standout origin for exceptional coffee.
Brazil is known as the most abundant coffee producing country on the globe. An average of 200 million coffee plants grown in these lands and are responsible for producing 1 million 59kg bags per year. In order to harvest this amount of coffee and still meet the requirements of the specialty coffee market, a powerhouse of technology and science are applied on these farms. This new generation of Brazilian producers are bringing fresh ideas to the industry while producing some of the world’s finest speciality coffees.
