Guatemala Finca Los Humitos

From £7.70

Cocoa, Pomegranate, Rich

Our new single farm estate Finca Los Humitos is full of that classic, full-bodied flavour that is so synonymous with exceptional Guatemalan coffee.  This coffee originates from the Amatitlan region of Guatemala, next to Lago de Amatitlan which shares its name.  The region benefits from a plethora of biodiversity with superb levels of precipitation.  Coffee grows spectacularly well here, enviably positioned near the Pacaya volcano, providing nutrient rich soils for coffee plant varietals to flourish.

This coffee is harvested by hand and has a dynamic flavour profile of ripe pomegranate with a rich, dark chocolate mouthfeel. It is a fully washed coffee, resulting in great depth of flavour.  The farm was previously owned by Dr. Rodolfo Castillo until his passing.  The farm is now owned by Seo Hee Holding.

Conditions in Guatemala could not be better for coffee growing. Guatemala is so perfect for coffee growing that flavour profiles in the cup are region specific- and distinguishable in character and mouthfeel. This special coffee hails from the town of Amatitlan, a wonderfully mountainous landscape in Guatemala.  Majority of all coffee is shade grown under native trees in the region, supporting biodiversity and the retention of local wildlife.   We work closely with producers in the supply chain to ensure all our coffees are traceable and ethically sourced.
